Hi, I’m Pooja,

My work is guided by a childhood spent outdoors and a deep devotion to the natural world. I grew up between two very different places and explore themes of departure, rebirth and grounding by painting the land around me.

My artistic process inadvertently mirrors the patters of the seasons, I think we as human beings are a lot more connected to climate around us than we realize. Sunlight has always been the first source of inspiration for me, I think of it as the beginning, end and in-between. I hope to create tiny mental bridges between the routines of everyday life and the natural world through my paintings.

I currently live and work between Vero Beach and Brooklyn, where I spend my time swimming in the ocean or walking really fast through the city with my headphones on max volume. I received my Bachelor’s in Design from the Ontario College of Art and Design in 2023 and owe a lot of my understanding of form, color and pattern to my background in graphic design and creative writing.

Thank you so much for being here, I hope you find something you were looking for.

<3 Pooja
