Koi Pond Bag
The Koi Pond Tote was created to mimic the motion and movement that takes place within a woman’s bag. The contents are unpredictable but intentional at the same time. I love making and watching “What’s in my bag videos”. I keep thinking about all the purses I see in public the magical contents they carry and how I would never know just by looking at the bag. The Koi Pond Tote bridges that gap in so many ways, now the outside of the bag is just as magical as the inside.
This purse has been painted using high-quality flexible leather paint and then sealed for longevity. The purse is completely wearable and took over 50 hours of painting to create. If needed the purse can be cleaned using a soft cloth or very mild soap and lukewarm water, do not use any steel wool or a rough cloth that may scratch the leather surface.
The bag is one of a kind - hand painted vintage, NO copies or prints will be sold. It’s hand-painted nature makes it prone to some mild inconsistencies.
The bag is originally a vintage DKNY piece from the 90's that has been rehabilitated. Sustainability is an extremely important part of my art-making process and I often use reclaimed materials. Giving things a new life feels unreal. The inside of the bag is fully lined and has a slip zipper pocket for all your valuables.
